Headbands, Earring, Scarves and More....................

Currently, I have a TWA (tweeny weeny afro). Also, my fro is thin/bald in various spots because of my Alopecia. To keep attention off my thinning scalp, I find that accessories are a must. I loovvee earrings, preferably the bigger the better (but not toooo big). Chunky post earring make a really cool statement too.

Headbands are great! There many ways to create your own handmade headbands that will reflect your creative style. Premade headbands with bows, jewels, and other pieces added to them also add flair to your TWA.

When I first lost my hair a wore different scarves. Different patterns and colors allowed me to express myself. Scarves can be tied back, used as a turbine and to create a headband look.

Lastly, makeup with plays a dramatic role in dressing up your natural hair style, any hair style or no hair at all. I like a natural look when it comes to make up. Since, my eyebrows are low to nothing, I use a brown pencil to create a natural looking brow. Also, I use dark brown mascara not black (especially in the summer) to elongate and volumize my lashes. I prefer to use black mascara when I going out at nite to create a more dramatic effect. Bronzes and golds are my color of choice for eyeshadow. I use other colors, however, I call those "special occasion" colors not everyday. To finish it off, some popping lips gloss. Preferably, clear and with vitamin E to keep my lips supple and moist.  --Cantrell
